Activities Assistant

The Activities Assistant role is onsite in West Palm Beach, FL. Compensation is not specified. MorseLife Health System is a nonprofit healthcare system focused on compassionate care and enriching the lives of older adults; this position supports MorseLife PACE participants. The assistant provides personal care and helps participants take part in programs that support cognitive, social, physical, and emotional skills. The role also assists with nursing care under the direction of the Clinic Nurse Manager and supports participant nutrition, safety, documentation, and communication.

What you'll do

• Respond to participant concerns and questions
• provide appropriate care, including toileting, and report changes to nursing staff
• assist with activity planning and care plan sessions
• support activities while balancing exertion and rest
• follow infection-control procedures
• portion and serve meals and snacks and assist with kitchen cleanup
• communicate with clients, families, and staff
• complete care documentation
• attend required in-services and training.

Why this role

Requires a high school diploma or GED, one year of experience with frail and elderly people, HHA, and current CPR certification; CNA is preferred.
