Summer Law Clerk Program

The Summer Law Clerk Program is an onsite, full-time summer opportunity in Chicago, IL; The program gives law students exposure to challenging legal matters and the legal community through City Department tours and meetings with public officials and members of the judiciary. Law clerks support the program’s legal work while building knowledge of the legal field and professional connections. Participants may rank their preferred Department of Law practice-area divisions and may elect to remain in their division or move to another division after the first half of the program.

What you'll do

• Work full time during the summer months on legal matters
• indicate preferences among Department of Law practice-area divisions
• participate in networking events, City Department tours, and meetings with City Officials and members of the State and Federal Judiciary.
