Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) for Good Samaritan in Spencer, SD. This is an onsite, full-time position with flexible shifts. The role involves providing resident-centered nursing care and daily living assistance under the supervision of an RN. What you'll do

• Serves as caregiver to the resident during the scheduled work period in long term care.
• Provides resident-centered nursing care and daily living assistance to assigned resident under the supervision of a registered nurse (RN).
• Delivers age-appropriate care related to the physical and psychological needs of the resident as per care plan.
• Provides assistance with basic health care needs including daily living activities (bathing, toileting, grooming, dressing/undressing, vital signs).
• Provides psychosocial support and other personal care to assigned resident.
• Assists the resident in transferring, repositioning, and walking using correct techniques and equipment.
• Provides range of motion and passive exercises.
• Completes tasks related to food preparation and dining.
• Assists residents with meals and snacks, provides water and supplements as appropriate.
• Documents resident interactions, outcomes, behavior, activity, and dietary information.
• Communicates resident's changing condition and care concerns to the charge nurse.
• Collects non-invasive body fluid specimens and gathers vital signs.
• Provides housekeeping and laundry services.
• Provides assistance and documentation with wellness and recreational programs.

What we're looking for

Education

High school graduate or general equivalency diploma (GED) preferred

Experience

Minimum age of 16. Prior clinical or nursing assistant experience in long-term care preferred.
