Recreation Aide

The Recreation Aide role is onsite in Far Rockaway, NY, with pay of $21 to $22 per hour. The position supports recreational programs for residents at Bezalel Rehabilitation and Nursing Center. The aide helps plan, prepare, conduct, and clean up recreational activities that meet residents’ needs and interests. The role also provides therapeutic recreation support to geriatric residents and reports to the Director of Therapeutic Recreation.

What you'll do

• Assist with conducting recreational programs
• prepare, implement, and clean up activities
• transport ambulatory and wheelchair-bound residents to programs
• document recreation activities in medical records
• use EMR and Windows-based programs
• report to the Director of Therapeutic Recreation.
