What you'll do

• Answer calls and follow up on referral faxes and emails
• screen for program fit, payer eligibility, geographic coverage, and level of care
• schedule eligible callers for assessments
• verify Medi-Cal and commercial insurance benefits
• coordinate referrals and appointments
• escalate crisis calls to licensed clinical staff
• document intake and insurance information in the EHR while maintaining HIPAA compliance.
