The Senior Electrical Engineer — Power Electronics role is hybrid in Austin, TX, with three days onsite; compensation is not specified. The engineer joins Thermon’s R&D Controls and Accessories team, which develops industrial controllers and power and control systems for harsh environments. This role owns power-electronics hardware from architecture through production handoff, advancing industrial control products that must operate reliably in demanding and hazardous conditions. The engineer designs and validates power conversion, magnetics, analog and mixed-signal circuits, and PCBs, while coordinating certification, manufacturing, and firmware integration.

What you'll do

• Design isolated power-conversion systems and custom magnetics
• investigate and productize unconventional power-source topologies
• design analog and mixed-signal circuits and complete PCB layouts in Altium Designer
• lead board bring-up, verification, and hardware debugging
• collaborate on CSA, UL, ATEX, and EMC certification
• prepare manufacturing design packages
• define hardware/software interfaces with embedded engineers
• mentor team members.
