Grounds and Floor Technician

The Grounds and Floor Technician role is onsite at Towson University’s Millennium Hall, Harris Hall, and Tubman House in Towson, Maryland. Pay is $17–$19 per hour. The technician supports the cleanliness and maintenance of the university residential buildings and their grounds. The role maintains floors, common areas, and exterior grounds, helping keep the buildings clean, orderly, and safe. It also assists maintenance and housekeeping staff when needed and may require overtime during periods of operational demand.

What you'll do

• Sweep, mop, scrub, and vacuum hallways, stairs, and office spaces
• empty trash containers
• clean grounds and remove litter
• clear snow and debris from sidewalks
• shovel snow and spread salt
• maintain common areas and building exteriors
• remove refuse
• assist maintenance and housekeeping staff when needed.
