Psychologist (PhD)

What you'll do

• Evaluate and diagnose individuals for mental, emotional, and behavioral disorders
• coordinate mental health functions, including staff supervision and training
• provide psychotherapy or counseling
• make referrals to psychiatrists and other professionals as appropriate
• assess mental status and suicide risk
• document services in medical records
• instruct staff and officers on suicide risk factors
• provide in-service education for medical and correctional staff as required.
