Preschool VPK Teacher

Job overview

The Preschool VPK Teacher role is onsite in Fort Lauderdale, FL. Pay is $15–$19 per hour. The teacher works under the School Director to create a safe, engaging, developmentally appropriate classroom for preschool children. The role plans and delivers curriculum, leads classroom operations, and supports children’s physical, social, emotional, and developmental needs, including those with Individualized Education Plans. It also partners with families and team members and follows licensing, safety, and supervision requirements.

• Create an inclusive classroom

• respond to developmental, behavioral, cultural, and learning needs, including implementing IEPs and behavioral support plans as required
• plan, implement, and document curriculum
• communicate with families, coworkers, and leadership
• supervise children safely
• document incidents
• follow policies and licensing requirements
• participate in required training and professional development.

Why this role

Must meet state licensing requirements for Lead Teachers and have a qualifying Florida VPK instructor credential, such as a CDA, FCCPC, or eligible college degree. Schedules may vary and are not guaranteed to be eight-hour shifts.
