Loan Officer Assistant

Job overview

The Loan Officer Assistant role is onsite in Farmington Hills, MI. Compensation is commission-only, with no guaranteed hourly wage or base salary; earnings depend on loan activity, assigned production, and/or closed transactions. Northgate Mortgage provides residential and commercial financing and borrower support from application through closing. The assistant supports mortgage origination by coordinating borrower communications, collecting and organizing documents, tracking follow-ups, and maintaining loan files. This work helps loan officers move applications through the loan lifecycle while protecting confidential financial information.

• Support loan officers throughout the mortgage process

• manage multiple active files
• handle inbound and outbound calls
• maintain accurate records
• assist with application setup
• coordinate with borrowers, processors, and internal teams
