What you'll do

• Audit patient files, billing records, and clinical documentation
• review compliance with Medicare, Medicaid, commercial insurance, and accreditation standards
• verify orders and supporting documentation
• audit claims for coding accuracy
• review HCPCS codes and modifiers
• identify errors, denials, overpayments, and underpayments
• prepare audit reports and track corrective actions
• support external audits
• educate staff and participate in quality improvement.
