The Engineering Technician I, SNS Lab role is onsite in San Jose, CA. Compensation is $38.35 per hour. The SNS (Serdes Networking Solutions) team works on multi-gig SERDES asymmetric networking protocols for automotive and robotics applications. The technician maintains and improves lab setups, supports hardware bring-up and debugging, and helps unblock local and global engineers using the central lab. The role contributes to reliable engineering development and testing by maintaining equipment, inventory, and lab infrastructure.

What you'll do

• Troubleshoot lab network, connectivity, and firewall issues
• procure lab supplies and equipment and coordinate deliveries
• maintain lab asset and consumable inventory
• connect development boards, GPUs, cameras, and JTAG/I2C debug interfaces for hardware bring-up
• run basic platform checks
• perform soldering, connector installation/removal, and board rework
• support remote debugging
• maintain and calibrate test equipment
• document configurations, inventory, issues, and corrective actions.
