Certified Medication Aide (PRN)

The aide safely administers routine prescribed medications, verifies identity and allergy history, documents medication administration, and processes medication orders. The role supports individuals’ medication needs and coordinates medication-related matters with nurses, medical providers, and the contract pharmacy.

What you'll do

• Safely and accurately administer and distribute routine prescribed medications
• confirm identity and check allergy history before administration
• recognize possible allergic reactions and notify a supervising nurse or medical provider
• document medication administration on the MAR
• review and process medication orders and transmit them electronically to the contract pharmacy
• liaise with medical providers, nurses, and the contract pharmacy.

Why this role
