Maintenance Assistant

Job overview

The Maintenance Assistant role is onsite in Westmont, IL, and pays $18.50 per hour. The position supports a care facility whose clinical and therapy teams provide specialized services to residents. The assistant completes assigned work orders, routine repairs, inspections, and preventative maintenance to help maintain a safe and comfortable facility. What you'll do

• Complete work orders assigned by the Maintenance Director, including light bulb and filter changes, painting, plumbing, light carpentry, and sheetrock repairs
• assist with grounds, fences, parking areas, furniture, appliances, and HVAC systems
• maintain and repair service, power, and kitchen equipment
• keep preventative maintenance records and use the work order tracking system
• inspect buildings, grounds, and equipment
• identify and address potential safety hazards.
