Cloud Architect — SIPR

Job overview

The Cloud Architect role is onsite in Herndon, VA, with work in a secure SIPR SCIF environment for 30%–50% of the work schedule. The stated pay band is $200,000–$233,000 annually. The role supports Omni Federal’s DCSA Portfolio Acquisition Executive managed service provider contract and federal mission technology work. As a senior escalation point, the architect resolves complex cloud engineering and incident issues across AWS GovCloud and supporting Azure infrastructure. The role combines independent troubleshooting, cloud architecture, customer interaction, and incident leadership to maintain reliable enterprise workloads and services.

What you'll do

• Own complex incident tickets and service requests
• troubleshoot cloud, Linux, networking, access, and platform integration issues
• architect and support enterprise workloads in AWS GovCloud
• lead major incident response and resolve issues within SLAs
• diagnose routing, security group, subnet, DNS, load balancer, VPN, and resource-pointing problems
• troubleshoot GitLab, Docker, Kubernetes, and AWS EKS issues
• address PKI/CAC authentication, certificate, SSO/SAML, and IAM policy issues
• interact with customers and application teams.
