The Private Duty Registered Nurse, Assessments role is onsite across Prince George’s County, MD, with in-person assessments at different locations. Compensation is $80–$100 per hour. Amaray Care is a home health organization focused on giving families peace of mind through quality care. The nurse assesses patients in their homes, develops and updates care plans, monitors and documents patient conditions, educates patients and caregivers, coordinates services, and supervises LPNs and CNAs. The role reports to the Director of Nursing and Operations Manager and follows Medicare, Medicaid, and agency requirements.

What you'll do

• Perform initial home-care visits and reassess patient needs
• initiate plans of care under physician orders
• complete admission, transfer, recertification, resumption-of-care, and discharge OASIS
• assess and document symptoms and progress
• educate patients and caregivers
• coordinate services
• supervise LPNs and CNAs
• notify relevant personnel of condition changes
• maintain clinical records
• participate in case conferences and continuing education
• follow Medicare and Medicaid regulations.
