Electro-Optical Systems Engineer

The Electro-Optical Systems Engineer role is onsite in Billerica, MA, with estimated annual total compensation of $140,000–$200,000. E Ink develops low-power electronic paper display technology used in products such as eReaders, electronic shelf labels, and digital signage. The engineer builds, maintains, and improves instruments and measurement systems used by research and product development teams. The work supports characterization of electrophoretic display systems through hardware, control electronics, automation, and experiments that help advance display performance and new products.

What you'll do

• Maintain existing and develop new electro-optical tests and instruments, including hardware, control electronics, and automation software
• translate test needs into hardware and measurement solutions with scientists and engineers
• develop or modify instrument-control and data-collection scripts
• research drive schemes for performance optimization and product development
• design and execute experiments to characterize display performance
• contribute to team project goals and contingency plans
• create and document intellectual property.
