The Database Administrator (Intermediate) role is onsite in Suffolk, VA, with compensation of $125,000–$135,000 per year. The role contributes to operational availability and cybersecurity compliance through database administration, recovery planning, performance tuning, security controls, and modernization support.

What you'll do

• Administer and monitor SQL Server and PostgreSQL environments
• install, configure, patch, upgrade, and migrate databases
• maintain backup, recovery, replication, and disaster-recovery solutions
• tune performance
• support high availability
• manage security, auditing, and access
• support RMF compliance and DISA STIG remediation
• maintain procedures and technical documentation
• troubleshoot incidents
• collaborate with system administrators, cybersecurity staff, developers, and stakeholders
• provide after-hours support during maintenance windows and emergencies as required.

Why this role

Active Secret clearance and IAT Level II certification required, with listed certification options. Requires a bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination and at least five years of enterprise database administration experience. Position status is six-month contract to permanent.
