Substance Abuse Counselor

What you'll do

• Provide individual and group counseling for people recovering from drug and alcohol disorders
• guide new and returning patients through intake and orientation
• connect patients with community resources
• follow up on referrals
• maintain individualized treatment plans and accurate patient records
• assess social, educational, economic, and vocational needs
• respond to crisis situations and complete required documentation
• comply with regulatory requirements.
