Substance Abuse Licensed Therapist

The Substance Abuse Licensed Therapist role is an onsite, full-time position in Phoenix, AZ. Compensation is $30.46–$36.55 per hour. College Medical Center Phoenix provides behavioral health and recovery-focused services in a respectful, collaborative care environment. The therapist assesses patients with substance use and co-occurring mental health disorders, develops individualized treatment plans, and provides counseling within the scope of practice. The role coordinates with patients, families, providers, and community resources to support recovery, relapse prevention, and continuity of care.

What you'll do

• Conduct patient assessments and develop individualized treatment plans
• facilitate group therapy and provide supportive individual counseling within scope of practice
• document progress notes, treatment updates, and discharge summaries
• monitor patient progress and participation
• coordinate care and discharge planning with physicians, families, case managers, and other providers
• respond to crises and use behavioral interventions as needed
• participate in treatment team meetings and follow program, billing, and reporting requirements.
