Automotive Service Technician (Smog)

The Automotive Service Technician (Smog) role is onsite in Los Angeles, CA, at Beverly Hills BMW. Compensation is $35–$40 per hour, based on experience and certifications. Beverly Hills BMW is part of Sonic Automotive, a large automotive dealer group. This technician performs vehicle repair and maintenance to dealership and factory standards, diagnosing malfunctions and completing assigned work accurately. The role also supports basic maintenance and cosmetic reconditioning while documenting work and communicating repair needs to the service advisor.

What you'll do

• Perform assigned vehicle repairs and maintenance
• diagnose malfunctions
• coordinate with the parts department
• inspect vehicles for additional safety or service needs
• document work
• road-test vehicles when required
• complete basic maintenance such as oil changes, brakes, batteries, and fluid checks
• assist with cosmetic reconditioning
• maintain reconditioning logs and production targets
• follow safety and environmental regulations.
