Mobile Phlebotomist

The Mobile Phlebotomist role is an onsite, part-time position in Ilion, NY, with pay of $25–$30 per hour. The role supports phlebotomy services for an assisted living facility and reports to the Phlebotomy Supervisor. The position exists to collect and correctly identify, label, and deliver patient specimens for testing while maintaining safety, confidentiality, and accurate records. The phlebotomist prepares patients, performs blood draws using appropriate techniques, and monitors patients and equipment.

What you'll do

• Identify patients
• prepare supplies and equipment
• prioritize timed, STAT, and routine collections
• select appropriate venipuncture methods
• draw and label specimens
• follow safety, sharps-disposal, and order-of-draw procedures
• maintain records and confidentiality
• answer patient questions and provide aftercare information
• monitor patients and equipment
• maintain a sanitary work area
• attend required meetings and training. Specimen storage and centrifugation apply if trained.

Why this role

Work across multiple locations; valid driver’s license, adequate automobile insurance, and access to a vehicle are required. Phlebotomy Technician certification is preferred; without it, hospital or major-lab training is required.
