Registered Nurse (RN) Educator — Binghamton

The educator teaches certification classes, maintains training materials, and assesses staff competencies. This work helps develop and support the home-care workforce; when classes are not in session, the trainer supports the Field Nursing Team.

What you'll do

• Teach New York State Personal Care Aide certification classes in Binghamton and Syracuse
• assist with developing and maintaining training materials and curriculum
• support continuing education and in-service programs
• conduct field competency testing in accordance with New York State Department of Health regulations
• potentially oversee, coordinate, and directly supervise paraprofessional staff and private-duty or shift nursing services
• provide remediation and tutoring
• monitor trainee progress
• support the Field Nursing Team when classes are not in session
• travel as required
• work occasional on-call hours.
