Diet Aide

The Diet Aide role is onsite in Great Barrington, MA. Pay is $17.50 per hour. The aide supports the facility’s dietary operations and works with the facility dietitian as needed. The role helps provide timely meals and snacks, prepares and delivers trays and food carts, assists with meal preparation and dishwashing, and maintains clean, safe food-service and storage areas while following dietary and infection-control procedures.

What you'll do

• Work with the facility dietitian as necessary and implement recommended changes
• serve meals using portion-control procedures
• clean work tables, equipment, floors, utensils, and work areas
• set up meal trays, food carts, and dining areas
• assist cooks with meal preparation
• distribute and collect menus
• obtain supplies
• check diet trays
• deliver food carts and trays
• prepare and deliver snacks
• follow dietary, infection-control, and universal-precautions procedures
• report hazards and accidents.
