The Senior Technical Consultant – Reporting SME role is hybrid, with on-site work at the customer office in Rockville, MD, three days per week. Compensation is $110,000–$160,000 per year. Unison develops software and expertise that simplify federal processes and acquisitions for government agencies and contractors. The Reporting Subject Matter Expert designs and delivers client-facing reports, extracts, and dashboards across the Unison platform. By translating client requirements into accurate, validated reporting and resolving data issues, the role supports operational, financial, and compliance decisions for federal customers.

What you'll do

• Gather and document client reporting requirements
• design and deliver ad hoc and recurring reports, extracts, and dashboards
• write and optimize SQL queries across relational data
• trace and resolve reporting discrepancies
• troubleshoot accuracy, performance, and formatting issues
• prioritize reporting requests and communicate status and timelines
• partner with functional and technical consultants to validate report logic
• document specifications, data sources, calculations, and refresh schedules
• validate reports through peer review, test data, and client sign-off
• identify opportunities to standardize or automate recurring requests
• work independently and escalate ambiguous requirements or cross-program issues as needed.
