The Swim Instructor — Central Branch role is onsite in Spokane, WA, with weekday morning and early-afternoon availability requested (Monday–Friday, 8:30 a.m.–12:30 p.m.). Starting pay is $17.63 per hour. The YMCA supports community well-being through youth development, healthy living, and social responsibility. The instructor plans and teaches lessons for swimmers at different ability levels, monitors progress, reinforces aquatic safety, and helps participants build swimming skills in a supportive class setting.

What you'll do

• Plan and teach swim lessons suited to participants’ abilities and levels
• maintain lesson equipment
• assess needs and adapt activities
• explain and enforce safety rules
• track attendance and progress
• communicate feedback to participants and families
• follow emergency and child-safety procedures
• attend staff meetings and training.
