What you'll do

• Prepare and splice single-mode and occasional multimode fiber cables
• construct splice cases and place mid-sheath splices
• test and troubleshoot fiber using OTDR and other tools
• report field splicing activity
• interpret cable records and maps
• recommend cable or construction-method changes
• participate in engineering, permitting, and construction processes
• maintain assigned vehicle and equipment
• respond to emergency service calls on an on-call rotation.
