The specialist processes new patient referrals by verifying coverage, coordinating benefits, estimating patient costs, and securing payer authorizations. The work supports timely access to specialty infusion care through communication with patients, referral sources, and internal teams.

What you'll do

• Verify patient insurance benefits and document coverage and cost-sharing
• calculate estimated patient financial responsibility
• initiate and follow up on prior authorizations, predeterminations, and medical reviews
• obtain clinical documents for submissions
• communicate referral and coverage updates
• assist with copay assistance or foundation enrollment
• generate new-patient start-of-care paperwork.
