Heavy Haul Truck Driver

Job overview

The Heavy Haul Truck Driver role is onsite in Theodore, AL, with a stated schedule of 7 a.m.–3:30 p.m., Monday–Friday; weekends and overtime are expected. Compensation is not specified. CraneWorks/RentalWorks provides crane, lifting, specialized equipment, transportation, and project support services. The driver safely transports heavy construction and crane equipment between company locations, customer jobsites, and other destinations. Careful loading, securement, inspections, route planning, permitting, and coordination help deliver equipment safely and in compliance with applicable requirements.

What you'll do

• Operate heavy-haul tractor-trailer combinations, including detachable low-boy trailers
• load, unload, and secure RT cranes and other heavy equipment
• inspect vehicles, trailers, and securement equipment
• plan routes around load dimensions, weight, restrictions, and permits
• comply with DOT, FMCSA, state, and local regulations
• coordinate equipment movements and delivery schedules
• maintain logs, inspection reports, permits, and delivery records.

Why this role
