Caregiver – Afternoon Home Care

Compensation is $16–$20 per hour. The Caregiver – Afternoon Home Care role is an onsite private-home assignment in the Bellevue/Nashville, Tennessee area. Delora Care, a Helping Hearts company, provides nonmedical personal support to a client recovering at home after an orthopedic procedure. The caregiver helps the client maintain safety and independence during recovery, with particular attention to fall prevention, mobility, transfers, and shower safety. The role also supports daily routines and household needs, follows the written care plan, documents services, and promptly reports changes or safety concerns.

What you'll do

• Provide nonmedical personal support
• assist with safe ambulation and transfers, including gait belt use when required
• keep the walker within reach
• provide standby shower assistance
• prepare dinner
• perform light housekeeping, laundry, and bed-linen changes
• retrieve household items
• shop for groceries and complete approved errands
• water plants and assist with basic pet care
• document services and report safety concerns.
