What you'll do
- Receive handoff from anesthesia and surgical teams and complete post-anesthesia assessments
- monitor airway, respiratory status, hemodynamics, consciousness, and pain
- administer medications, fluids, and blood products as ordered
- recognize and respond to complications
- apply discharge criteria and prepare patients for transfer or discharge
- educate patients and families.
