Direct Counsel is recruiting for a leading firm’s intellectual property litigation practice focused on life sciences. The associate handles patent litigation in federal district courts and before the Patent Trial and Appeal Board, conducting research, drafting pleadings, developing case strategy, participating in discovery, taking and defending depositions, and supporting pretrial and trial work. The role also involves direct collaboration with clients, opposing counsel, and internal teams.

What you'll do

• Handle patent litigation in U.S. District Courts and before the PTAB
• conduct legal and factual research
• draft pleadings and develop case strategies
• participate in discovery on infringement, validity, and damages
• take and defend depositions
• draft dispositive motions and claim construction briefs
• engage in pretrial and trial activities
• work with clients, opposing counsel, and internal teams.
