Operations Coordinator & Customer Service Representative

Job overview

The Operations Coordinator & Customer Service Representative role is onsite during training through the end of December, then hybrid with three office days and two remote days per week, in Torrance, CA. The temporary assignment runs October 1, 2026–April 30, 2027, with pay of $25–$30 per hour. The role supports optical and imaging-related business divisions at a global Japanese company. The position coordinates orders, customer support, inventory, logistics, and internal and supplier communications to help keep customer transactions and operational workflows accurate and timely.

What you'll do

• Process customer orders in ERP systems
• coordinate domestic and international shipments and prepare proforma invoices
• handle returns, RMAs, returned inventory, credit memos, and rebilling
• respond to customer inquiries
• coordinate payment and account issues with Accounting
• verify pricing and discounts
• create purchase orders and manage drop-ship orders
• coordinate product availability, lead times, service parts, and purchasing
• support trade show consignments, demo inventory, CRM activities, repair coordination, and website-generated leads.
