Maintenance Superintendent – Pulp Mill and Utilities

The Maintenance Superintendent – Pulp Mill and Utilities role is onsite in Rumford, ME, with a salary range of $100,000–$125,000 per year. ND Paper manufactures pulp, paper, and packaging products; this position supports the Rumford mill’s Pulp Mill/Utilities Department. The superintendent leads mechanical maintenance to support safe, reliable, and cost-effective operations. The role directs maintenance teams, improves equipment reliability, reduces downtime, and coordinates outages in partnership with operations, engineering, reliability, and capital project teams.

What you'll do

• Promote safety and regulatory compliance
• lead incident investigations, root cause analyses, audits, and corrective actions
• direct mechanical maintenance activities and maintenance personnel
• ensure work is planned, scheduled, and executed safely and efficiently
• develop maintenance strategies and monitor performance metrics
• advance reliability-centered, predictive, and condition-based maintenance
• reduce unplanned downtime
• lead outage and turnaround planning and execution
• coordinate contractors and internal teams
• coach and develop supervisors and maintenance staff.
