What you'll do

• Provide professional nursing care for residents of all ages in long term care, under the supervision of a registered nurse, advanced practice provider, or physician.
• Demonstrate knowledge of nursing principles for the resident in the relevant clinical setting.
• Demonstrate competency and practice within the full scope of nursing expertise/knowledge and utilize appropriate age and population specific standards.
• Assess residents and administer medications or treatments as ordered.
• Document resident interactions and outcomes.
• Collaborate with residents, family members, and healthcare providers.

What we're looking for

Education

Graduate from an accredited practical nursing program.

Experience

Graduate from an accredited practical nursing program as a Licensed Practical Nurse. Associate degree in practical nursing is preferred. Must have attended a pre-licensure nursing program that included supervised clinical experience across the life span or have had a minimum of 400 hours of experience as LPN. Currently holds an unencumbered Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license with State Nursing board or possess multi-state licensure. Obtains and subsequently maintains required department specific competencies and certifications.
