Senior IT Project Manager, Healthcare IT

The Senior IT Project Manager, Healthcare IT role is hybrid in Columbia, MD, with three office days per week (Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday) and two remote days. The salary range is $135,000–$165,000 per year. The role supports complex healthcare IT initiatives for the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services. The position leads software development, platform migration, and data integration work in a regulated federal healthcare environment, coordinating technical delivery and governance to meet client outcomes, schedule, budget, security, and compliance requirements.

What you'll do

• Manage the lifecycle of complex IT systems development, software enhancements, and cloud migrations using CMS XLC or approved Agile methods
• serve as liaison among technical teams, CMS business owners, and healthcare stakeholders
• manage scope, integrated schedules, risks, and milestones
• ensure systems meet CMS safeguards, federal security regulations, and HIPAA requirements
• translate sprint progress into CMS governance documentation.
