CNC Mill Setup Machinist

Job overview

The CNC Mill Setup Machinist role is onsite in Tempe, AZ. Compensation is $30–$32 per hour. The position is with C & G Machining, a small family production machine shop. The machinist sets up CNC mills for new production orders, runs first articles, and makes adjustments to offsets or G-code as needed. The role supports accurate production through blueprint interpretation, in-process inspection, and inspection recordkeeping.

What you'll do

• Follow setup instructions for new orders
• run first articles and adjust offsets or G-code as needed
• interpret blueprint dimensions and perform in-process inspections
• set work and tool offsets and load programs
• record inspection data
• replace worn or damaged tools
• prepare tools and holders for new operations. FADAL, GibbsCAM, simple G-code writing, and CNC lathe experience are optional advantages.
