Flight Dynamicist

The Flight Dynamicist is an onsite, full-time role based in Cardiff By The Sea, CA. This position supports the Defense Systems Advanced Development Organization in modeling and simulation for missiles, hypersonic vehicles, and space vehicles. This role exists to perform detailed analysis of flexible and rigid body simulations, trajectory analysis, and vehicle sizing to create unique solutions for complex aerospace problems.

What you'll do

• Develop and analyze 3DOF and 6DOF flight dynamics models.
• Perform trajectory design and optimization.
• Design and validate GNC algorithms.
• Conduct aerodynamic and propulsion sensitivity analyses.
• Support flight test planning and data analysis.
