The Senior Electronics Hardware Engineer role is based onsite at Packet Digital’s main office in Fargo, ND, with a stated annual salary range of $105,000–$125,000. Packet Digital designs and manufactures power electronics and battery-powered systems for portable devices, embedded systems, and unmanned aircraft. The engineer designs, develops, tests, and supports electronic hardware across the product lifecycle, from requirements and circuit design through production. The work contributes reliable, manufacturable power systems for unmanned and other demanding applications.

What you'll do

• Define product requirements
• research technologies, components, standards, and design approaches
• propose, simulate, and validate hardware architectures and circuits
• create schematics and PCB layouts
• estimate project timelines
• support development from concept through production
• optimize cost, manufacturability, reliability, and performance
• document assemblies, bills of materials, and engineering changes
• lead or participate in design reviews
• assemble, test, troubleshoot, and validate prototypes and finished products
• provide customer support as needed
• mentor less experienced engineers and maintain an organized lab.
