Engagement Certified Alcohol and Drug Counselor

The Engagement Certified Alcohol and Drug Counselor role is onsite in Medford, OR, with outreach in community settings. Compensation is $55,000–$66,000 per year. The role supports Addictions Recovery Center’s community outreach and harm-reduction services. What you'll do

• Conduct outreach at the engagement center, shelters, parks, and public spaces
• build trusting relationships
• provide harm-reduction services including naloxone distribution and safer-use education
• explain treatment options and support access to services
• assess substance-use history, needs, and readiness
• develop personalized engagement plans
• use motivational interviewing and other therapeutic techniques
• provide counseling and support
• document interactions and referrals
• collaborate with community partners and clinical staff
• participate in meetings and case consultations
• support transitions into formal treatment when clients express readiness
• follow confidentiality and data-security policies.
