Government Billing Specialist, Medicare and Medi-Cal

The Government Billing Specialist role is onsite in Long Beach, CA. Compensation is $23.13–$27.98 per hour. The specialist prepares and follows up on claims, resolves denials and non-payment issues, reviews account and remittance details, and checks claims for complete charges and coding. What you'll do

• Bill claims and crossover claims
• post approved account adjustments
• update hospital financial files
• review denials and errors and make corrections
• check outpatient Medicare and Medi-Cal claims for accurate CPT coding
• review remittances and claims for payment accuracy and completeness
• analyze receivables
• ensure inpatient claims have appropriate TAR
• follow up until claims are resolved
• review EOBs and ERAs
• respond to insurance correspondence and improper denials.
