Bus Monitor

The role exists to support safe, orderly transportation by monitoring passenger conduct, assisting with safe loading and unloading, and helping drivers with route information and student needs. It also supports route efficiency through timing observations and accurate ridership records.

What you'll do

• Monitor pupils and bus activities for safe conduct
• maintain attendance and ridership records and assign seating as needed
• learn routes and provide directional assistance to substitute drivers
• verify route sheets and note changes when requested
• track route timing when requested
• ensure safe loading and unloading
• assist with seatbelts as required
• help clean the bus interior
• communicate with drivers, district personnel, students, and parents.
