Business Systems Analyst Consulting Intern — Summer 2027

Job overview

The Business Systems Analyst Consulting Intern role is onsite in Richmond, VA, for 40 hours per week over 10 weeks, June 1 through August 6, 2027. Pay is $30 per hour. CapTech's Elevate program simulates a client engagement and provides project guidance and mentorship; a housing stipend is provided for those living more than 50 miles away. The intern works on an integrated team to determine and implement a solution to a business problem, contributing to the consulting project lifecycle through requirements gathering, analysis, team coordination, and client-facing work.

What you'll do

• Potential responsibilities include acting as Scrum Master or Product Owner for a development team
• gathering and documenting requirements with client stakeholders and subject matter experts
• analyzing current state and helping design future state
• helping set project cadence and lead team ceremonies
• and leading stakeholder reviews and client presentations.

Why this role

Ten-week in-person Elevate internship for current undergraduates with expected graduation dates December 2027–May 2028. SQL and/or Python experience is preferred; Agile/Scrum and software development lifecycle understanding is helpful. CapTech cannot sponsor or transfer a work visa.
