The Autism Support Specialist (DSP) role is onsite in Duluth, MN, supporting individuals through the Community Services program. Pay is $20–$23 per hour, depending on experience and individual assignment. Peace of Mind Duluth provides individualized support to people with varied abilities and support needs. The specialist builds relationships and provides individualized 1:1 and 2:1 support, helping people communicate, make choices, participate in community activities, and develop independent living and community skills. The role follows individual support plans and coordinates with team members to provide consistent support.

What you'll do

• Provide 1:1 and 2:1 individualized support
• support individuals who are nonverbal or use alternative communication
• plan and participate in meaningful community activities
• help individuals make choices and participate in planning their day
• teach and reinforce independent living and community skills
• provide redirection and community safety support when needed
• follow individualized support plans and behavioral strategies
• provide personal or advanced care when applicable and trained
• complete required documentation
• communicate with team members and leadership.
