What you'll do

• Perform routine and specialized testing on biological specimens
• analyze, validate, document, and report results
• conduct quality-control procedures
• operate, maintain, troubleshoot, and calibrate instruments
• collect and process specimens
• prioritize testing by clinical urgency and physician orders
• maintain records and supplies
• follow infection-prevention, safety, HIPAA, and regulatory requirements
• guide laboratory assistants, students, and new staff as needed
• collaborate with healthcare professionals.
