What you'll do

• Manage purchasing for six retail locations and the central warehouse
• monitor inventory and reorder needs
• review sales and inventory data
• place and follow up on purchase orders
• maintain vendor relationships
• negotiate pricing, terms, freight, and promotions
• compare vendors and costs
• identify margin and cost-saving opportunities
• coordinate with stores and warehouse
• address excess inventory, backorders, shortages, and damaged merchandise
• maintain purchasing records
• research products and vendors.
