Assistant Controller

What you'll do

• Maintain understanding of the financial reporting framework and general ledger
• monitor department work and improve procedures
• assist with accounting policies and procedures
• ensure GAAP compliance
• prepare financial analyses, balance sheets, income statements, cash flow statements, and variance analyses
• review audited financial statements
• streamline reporting and compliance processes
• provide advice or training to less experienced associates
• prepare audit schedules and respond to audit inquiries
• collaborate with accounting, finance, legal, and other departments.

Why this role

Requires a bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance, CPA designation, at least five years of accounting experience, and consolidation experience. Prior supervisory or team leadership experience is preferred; real estate development and commercial accounting experience is a plus.
