The Senior Infrastructure Migration Project Manager — VMware / Nutanix role is fully remote in the United States. Compensation is $70–$85 per hour on W-2, paid weekly. The 12+ month engagement supports a financial services organization migrating approximately 3,000 production virtual machines across 58 waves. The project manager leads the wave-based migration program by managing plans, schedules, risks, dependencies, cutovers, and executive reporting. The role coordinates engineers, application owners, professional services, and the client PMO to deliver migration waves under approved change schedules, including scheduled off-hours and weekend cutovers.

What you'll do

• Own the project plan, schedule, and execution across 58 migration waves
• manage risks, actions, issues, and decisions
• coordinate engineers, application owners, professional services, and the client PMO
• manage scope, change control, and dependencies
• lead readiness reviews, wave kickoffs, and retrospectives
• prepare status and executive reporting
• coordinate scheduled off-hours and weekend cutovers
• govern runbooks and lessons learned.
