What you'll do

• Develop and deliver science lessons aligned with the school curriculum, Michigan Science Standards, and college-readiness expectations
• create an inclusive classroom
• adapt instruction for diverse learners and advanced or dual-enrollment coursework
• assess understanding and provide feedback
• maintain safe laboratories
• collaborate with colleagues, administrators, and Early Middle College partners
• analyze data and adjust instruction
• support IEPs, 504 Plans, and behavior plans
• participate in professional development
• communicate with families
• and follow school and district policies. A bachelor’s degree in a relevant field and valid Michigan teaching certification with an appropriate high-school science endorsement are required
• a master’s degree and high-school teaching experience are preferred.
