Vehicle Upfitting Technician

The Vehicle Upfitting Technician role is onsite in Elgin, IL; compensation is $20 per hour. The technician is part of Alliance Fleet’s production team, completing vehicle upfits to customer specifications and industry standards. The role installs, modifies, and tests equipment on commercial vehicles, contributing to customer satisfaction and operational success. Work includes following work orders and technical specifications, troubleshooting installation issues, inspecting completed work, documenting tasks, and following safety procedures.

What you'll do

• Install and modify electrical, mechanical, and structural equipment on commercial vehicles
• follow work orders, blueprints, and technical specifications
• operate tools safely
• troubleshoot issues and conduct functional tests
• inspect work for quality and functionality
• document completed tasks
• collaborate with technicians and other departments
• follow safety protocols and use PPE.
